Our
Projects
As a community makerspace we also thrive on having the opportunity for people to explore new creative experiences with a range of activities including; felting, drawing, painting, glass making, ceramics, printmaking, journaling, weaving and yarn bombing.
Local History is also delivered fortnightly at the studio.
We have 5 studio artists, a small Makerspace and two teaching areas.
We currently have partnerships with the following and have delivered workshops in the community, check out the exciting projects we have been involved with over the past couple of years below:
-
Mid Cheshire Mind
-
New Images
-
Cheshire West’ s Cine Window
-
Visual Arts Cheshire
-
Cheshire Artists Network.
Whilst most of our work at the studio is with adults we have delivered creative experiences for children at the New Images centre, Local Libraries, Story House Chester and local festivals Defest, The Fringe Festival and Darnhall Agricultural Show.
Covid Reflections Day
In October (2023), a small group of our Crosshatch community joined us at Whitby Hall in Ellesmere Port where we showcased some of outcomes from the 'Covid Reflections' artwork in this beautiful venue. We recommend visiting this location & the theatre:

Winsford Snail Trail
We invited the community to take part in the Winsford Snail Trail over the summer holiday of 2023. As the talented Yarn Bomber group (who create all their handmade pieces at Crosshatch), placed snails all over town for families and children to find and keep.
Check out the photo's from the snail hunt below:
